We Brought the First Direct to Wall Printer to the Philippines

Wall PrintingBehind the ScenesPhilippines

When I first told people I was importing a machine that prints artwork directly onto a wall, the reaction was almost always the same polite pause. Wallpaper exists. Painters exist. Why would anyone need this?

The problem nobody wanted to admit

Walls in the Philippines are hard on decor. Humidity lifts wallpaper at the seams. Hand painted murals take weeks, cost a fortune in labour, and depend entirely on one artist staying available. Tarpaulin looks like tarpaulin. Meanwhile every cafe, clinic, showroom and bedroom in the country has the same blank grey wall waiting for something.

Why we went first

Direct to wall printing was already normal in Europe and the Middle East. No one here had brought a unit in, so there was no local proof, no local service, no one to copy. We flew out, trained on the machine overseas, tested inks against our climate, and shipped it to Davao City. Customs alone took patience I did not know I had.

What actually happens on site

The printer rolls up to a prepared wall, reads its own position, and lays down the artwork in CMYK passes at full resolution. A three meter wall finishes in hours, not weeks. The ink cures into the surface, so there are no seams to peel and nothing to bubble in the heat. Outdoors it holds up to five years. Indoors we see eight to ten.

The part that still gets me

The first time a client watched their own photograph appear on their office wall, line by line, they went quiet and then laughed out loud. That reaction is the whole reason the machine is here. We are no longer asking for a ten square meter minimum either, because the small jobs are often the ones people care about most, a logo behind a reception desk, a single portrait in a hallway.

What comes next

Printer number two lands in October 2026. When it does, our introductory pricing goes up, because two machines means a real team, real scheduling, and travel beyond Mindanao. Until then, every wall we print is still a first for somebody.

If you have a wall you are tired of looking at, send us the size and the location and we will send back a real number. That is how all of this started.
